Grand Women Of Sunset Community Foundation ~ It Is Time To Reunite!

It’s been way too long since we’ve seen you.GRAND WOMEN
It is time to reunite and celebrate your gifts.
Dear <<First Name>>,

As the new Executive Director for Sunset Community Foundation, I wish to get to know you better!

I accepted the position on September 6th, after the foundation didn’t have an ED for almost six months. My first weeks were consumed with accepting inquiries regarding the Grant Application Process and deadline for submissions.  This year, we received 39 grant applications for the Sept 30th deadline, totaling $298,749. After serious deliberation by our Grants Committee, the Board of Directors approved 25 Grant Applications totaling an allocation of $100,000 (plus $20,000 had already been granted through the South Huron Vitality Fund last Spring). All approved submissions were considered beneficial to the community and fell within our granting criteria in a highly impactful manner.

I feel terrible that I completely missed the role of the Grand Women in that process. For that I sincerely apologize.

Moving forward, I have invited Penny Nelligan to represent YOU, THE GRAND WOMEN, on stage at our upcoming event, and she has accepted.  Penny will be awarding the grant cheque to one of the three following organizations. You have the opportunity to vote for which one you would like to see the Grand Women endorse and present to on November 29th.

Please VOTE for ONE of the three organizations below and submit your choice by Friday, November 25th before 5 p.m. via email to me directly at sunsetcommunityfoundation@gmail.com
