The Grand Bend Community Foundation today announced the community grants funded in 2012. The total grants paid out for 2012 totaled 68,500.00 (3 grants totaling approximately 11, 000.00 were granted in 2011, but only paid out in 2012)
Funding was provided to the following projects.
Lambton Kent District School Board – local student bursary.
Grand Bend Health Center – Electronic Health Records Project.
Lambton Shores – Communities in Bloom, Grand Bend Community garden.
Friends of the Pinery – Beach accessibility & all terrain wheelchair project.
Grand Bend Non Profit Housing – Push button doors, accessibility project.
Lake Huron Coastal Conservation Centre – butt free beach project.
Our Lady of Mount Carmel school – Technology Innovation project.
Lambton Shores – Beach Enhancement project.
Lambton Shores – Trails / recreation project.
Forest Cliff Camps – Cabin accessibility project.
Forest Cliff Camps – Camp for kids project.
Through the continued building of the community fund and funds established by local donors, the Grand Bend Community Foundation has been able to grant over 900,000.00 since 2001 .

About the Grand Bend Community Foundation.
The Grand Bend Community Foundation was established in 2001 has since granted to community projects more that 900,000. We have three main activities.
- We build and manage funds that are invested for the long term
- We use a portion of the income from our funds to support local charities that have bright ideas to improve our community
- We provide leadership in our community.
