Over the past three weeks, GBCF board members have fanned out across our community to deliver cheques to the charities selected to receive grants this year. We’ll be posting their “selfies” on our Facebook page over the next little while, so check it out to see lots of happy faces!
Granting is never easy – there are always lots of great projects, and limited money. This year we had $65,000 to grant, and requests for more than $120,000! The Grants Committee is made up of volunteer leaders with a passion for making a difference in our community – thanks to all of you for your wisdom and hard work!
