Be Part of Grand Bend's Legacy
today by joining
Grand Women or Grand Men

Shape the Future of the Greater Grand Bend Area

With a one-time gift of $1,000, you can join the Grand Women or Grand Men Funds—two inspiring groups of community members committed to creating lasting impact.

Grand Women Fund
Launched in 2018, the Grand Women Fund has welcomed 83 members to date. As of December 31, 2024, the fund has grown to $96,146.

Grand Men Fund
Established in 2019, the Grand Men Fund now includes 67 members. As of December 31, 2024, the fund totals $65,238.

Membership Benefits
Members receive an exclusive invitation to an annual event designed especially for them and their guests. These gatherings are always well attended and offer the chance to reconnect with familiar faces, meet new people, and enjoy an evening together while learning how the fund has supported the community over the past year. Members are encouraged to bring a friend to help share the impact of SCF.

Each year, members also vote on which charity will receive their group’s grant at the Annual GGBA Community Funds Grant Celebration in November.

A Legacy That Lasts
These powerful community initiatives give back year after year. Your contribution supports local charities today while building a legacy of generosity for future generations.

Grand Bend Community Funds

The Sunset Community Foundation Board is energized to be working with the Greater Grand Bend Area (GGBA) Advisory Committee, a passionate group dedicated to fostering local philanthropy and community leadership. Together, we are exploring the creation and growth of GGBA Funds that will support initiatives across this dynamic lakeside region.

The GGBA Advisory Committee is focused on bringing community voices together—residents, local groups, businesses, and seasonal friends—to build a powerful legacy that supports arts, recreation, environment, youth, and community well-being.

You’ll find us out in the community, at events and activities throughout the Greater Grand Bend Area!
For information on joining or nominating a community champion, please contact lisa@sunsetcommunityfoundation.ca.

Until 2008, GBCF had consistently granted more than is required of foundations by the Canada Revenue Agency. When the global financial meltdown caused a dramatic drop in our portfolio, we made the difficult decision to forego granting and protect the long-term value of our endowment funds.
